5 ways to improve your day.
Posted by: | CommentsHere are 5 ways to improve your day and get away from all the bad news.
First – Enjoy yourself. Finding just a little joy every day will help motivate you through the tough times. Take in those moments that put a smile on your face and notice more of what is going on around you. Stop by and watch kids play in the park or a little league game it really doesn’t matter what it is just surround yourself with some laughter and joy.
Second – Learn something new. Add to your brag book and learn something new by taking a class or reading a book or trying something you always wanted to do. The less time you sit around participating in the drama of gossip and bad news cycles will do less for you than denying the negative and puttiing your energy into something positive.
Third – Find a partner. Everything is better when your sharing your successes with someone so find a partner in life or in business and spend time rekindling partnerships you already have and using them to leverage efforts towards your goals.
Fourth – Clean out your closet the one in your home or the one in your head. Get rid of everything you have lingering around that really has no value to you anymore but is still of value to someone else. Don’t always feel like you have to make something off the baggage and clutter sometimes the gift is more rewarding to the cash you earn trying to sell it.
Fifth – Take care of your kids or mentor one. Just enjoying some time with your family and especially with your children will do wonders for improving your life. If you don’t have any kids find one in the community to Mentor and show up for them. Taking the focus off you and your needs for a short time and helping shape our youth for the future by sharing your strengths will reinforce what you know and develop a generation better than our own.
Personal Concierge Services
Posted by: | CommentsMost of us have stayed in a hotel and utilized the Concierge to find a place to eat, tickets to an event and even directions someplace as well as many other requests. My clients contact me all day long with all kinds of questions like this. They want to know who can save their over budget project? Who has the best content management system? Who do I know at a particular company? Who is this kid my kid is talking to online? What do I think about how much their kids are playing video games? Who is the best Doctor for my neck pain? Where should I take my family on vacation? and they go on and on and this was just since 7:00 AM this morning.
Having a personal resource that can get you answers on the fly can be a huge benefit and cost effective when you no longer have a secretary or personal assistant at the office or are just short on time. Serving a client as a Personal Concierge is rewarding when you are a wealth of knowledge and have resource capabilities to provide information timely.
With people having accumulated so much stuff and piles at home and in the work-place and with recent down-sizing many are bogged down with the clutter on their desks and in their heads. Having a Personal Concierge to get you information and support with just one call can relieve a lot of stress and save you a great deal of time and is very cost effective under the current economic stresses most people and corporations are faced with today.
If you ever used a Concierge when staying in a hotel why not try using a Personal Concierge in your business or at home to get you what you want instantly. There are a great many talented bright people available that are currently working as a Personal Concierge or are capable of filling their time off as one so line one up for yourself today.
Creative way to re-energize your Company
Posted by: | CommentsOne of the best ways to re-engage your leadership with your employees is to have a job swap week (or even a day) Put all the names of employees in a random drawing pool and for one week the name you pick is the job you do from the CEO to the receptionist to the janitor.
Re-energizing your base and getting everyone out of their comfort zone is sure to establish the respectability of all the individual roles in a company and bring your entire team back together. These are different times with different circumstances and ego’s have gotten in the way. There are many issues ahead for all of us, personally, professionally and with the companies we like to buy from. We need to come together and honor and respect each other and our positions and roles and this is a cost effective way to do an in-house team building when the old “hunting trip” is no longer responsible spending.
It is time to know the names of the people you work with, make a point to get to meet someone new at work and take an interest in what they do and who they are. If you work for a smaller company expand that to people who work nearby. If you don’t work at a company get to know a new neighbor or the grocery boy’s name. By connecting with your fellow employees and respecting their work you will have a stronger conviction for who your representing and what your selling.
We are going to have to pull together as a community and support each other at the companies that we run. Building appreciation for the responsibilites of those around you makes the entire organization stronger.
Sound body – Sound mind
Posted by: | CommentsI am inspired today to remind people to take care of themselves first. We must take care of our bodies and the wealth and knowledge of our minds will truly be expressed by that action. Valerie Waters was born with a gift she can look at a body and intuitively know exactly what that person should be doing exercise wise and what that person should be eating to bring out their very best for a role in a film or a role in life. Valerie has started the Red Carpet Ready Club and I highly recommend that anyone who’s bodies are not reflective of their brilliant mind to get involved in her program – she is truly gifted.
Over the last 25 years I have watched Valerie’s work with celebrities with amazement. her celebrity clients have almost always won the Emmy or Golden Globe for the characters she trained them to portray. I believe her program will do the same for all of you wanting your outer image to reflect your inner thinking about yourself and your goals. Just think of the impact the power of your presence will have when you walk into an interview or a meeting with a powerful body that reflects the mind you educated. The ease of captivating your audience when you look the part and the endurance you have to keep that captivation and carry out what you say you can do is reflective in how you have taken care of yourself.
It is time to get in shape and show on the outside what you have on the inside. Valerie Waters has been a friend and a client for over 25 years and I have the utmost respect for her and the work she does. I encourage you to think about everything your doing to yourself, when you eat something ask yourself “is this giving me life or taking me life?” Don’t spend another minute too tired or out of breath get in shape today!
